Yesterday was a tough day for me...

Yep... Peyton started Preschool!!

To tell ya' the truth, I've kinda' been in denial for quite some time & I guess just never thought this day would ever come... but, it did obviously. She was an absolute 'Big Girl' about the whole thing! She wasn't really nervous or anything. When we got into the classroom, she walked right in, hung up her backpack & looked for her chair at the table. (As if she knew what she was doing from experience or something!?) Her mommy, on the other hand, bawled like a baby, or sobbed like a blubbering idiot -whichever way you wanna' look at it! (The waterworks didn't actually start until I was back in my car, pulling away.) I kept thinking, the last time I felt that way was the 1st day (actually week) I left her to return to work after my 7 week maternity leave... almost 4 YEARS AGO!!!! ;o) I'm so sad, yet so happy & proud of my little, er... BIG girl! She's grown up so fast!

I can honestly say I understand how you feel. Bitter Sweet! However, it's nice to be able to share all these "firsts" with many of our fellow bloggers. I can't believe how fast time goes, 4 years of high school was a life time. 4 years with our children is a blink of an eye.

Why DO they grow up so fast?! It freaks me out a bit I must confess.

I understand. Even though Olivia is my 3rd, I was kind of sad, too. It's a milestone. Peyton looks really happy in the pictures, and I'm sure she'll love it, which is better than if she'd been really clingy!

What a "big girl" she is becoming! If it makes you feel any better, Sarah, Joe ran to his first day of kindergarten! He didn't even want me to walk him to school, much less into his classroom. He was so ready. On the other hand, I was not! So, I know all about being a blubbering idot!! She looks so excited and ready to embrace this experience in her life!

Love,
Tami

This is precisely why your dad wouldn't let ME walk you to school on your first day... I guess he could see me laying on the ground kicking and screaming while you dragged me into the school, clinging to your ankles! :O)
Trust me - your blubbering idiot days are NOT over... there's high school graduation, and weddings. Hmmmmm... wonderful memories!
Love ya,
Mom
