Fun & quality time with mommy!

Every now & then, Peytie gets in a mood to pose. The other day she was trying on clothes (she does this once in awhile). She came out in this cute little jumper that I had forgotten she even had! I told her to pose pretty & instantly... the hands go up under the chin. What a ham! ;o)

Just some stuff...

Hello all! I realized I haven't really given an update on myself in awhile so I'll just do that!

I had a doctor appointment today and everything checked out fine. I am 33 weeks along today! (7 more weeks and counting...) Not really any big news to post - other than that my doc told me he wouldn't be surpised if I went a little early! BIG surprise huh! (Actually, that was his response when I asked if he thought there was any possible way I would be having this baby THIS month?!" - Due to my size!) LOL! Seriously tho', there's really no concern as I'm measuring pretty close to where I should be. Guess we'll just wait & see...

I'm getting pretty excited, yet scared as I realize time seems to be going faster and we're not completely ready for this new member of our family to join us YET! (Like you can ever REALLY be ready -right?! ;o) Anyway, we're getting there and Peytie, on the other hand, is going crazy with anticipation! She keeps asking me, "Mommy, when is my baby sista' coming? I really wanna' see her! Is she done yet?" Ohhh, her pure innocence & sweetness just kills me sometimes!

I've been feeling pretty good for the most part. With the obvious exception of "growing" more & more uncomfortable as the days pass. I now remember all the 'not so good' things that come along with pregnancy: backaches, fatigue, swelling & sore feet, NEVER being able to get comfortable while sitting OR laying OR standing for that matter, I can no longer bend over without it being quite the sight (which means I can no longer paint my own toenails - drives me CRAZY!) Joe painted them for me when I was pregnant with Peyton but he doesn't seem to be all about that this time... ? ;o)

I must be sounding pretty negative about this whole thing. Well, as uncomfortable as I am & as peeved as I get about the little things... I DO know that the end result will be WELL worth it! After all - I have a wonderful 3 yr old & can't really remember what life was like without her... or choose not to I guess!! All in all I can't WAIT for baby girl #2 (coming right around the corner!)

Baby girl #2's name??... well, it's still being determined. I think we've narrowed it down between 2 now. I'll post it whenever Joe & I have finally decided... I promise!

Well, enough rambling... I'll leave ya' with a few pics from last week. Hope all is well with all of you! Peace out!

~Sarah

I was soaking my feet in Epsom salt one evening & Peytie starting complaining her feet were hurting too. Naturally. Joe just had to capture this kodak moment. (How do I look? Chubby?!) LOL!

This is a pic of our brother-in-law, Jared, tamping in the first stake for the new wireless internet tower that's soon to be going up across the street from us! We're stoked!

Fun at the Fair!!

We took a trip to the Chase County fair last night. G-ma Tami, Papa Jerry, G-ma Elaine, Jared, Missy, Luke, Matthew, Nathan & Jacob all met us up there. The kids all had a blast and the weather was PERFECT! Here's some pics of them going on rides.

And of course... you can't attend a county fair without "Funnel cakes!!" Yum yum!

New furniture!!

Well, Joe & I got a wild hair up our 'you know whats' last Friday. We have been talking about getting a new dresser as the new baby will be needing Peytie's soon. The plan is to just pass them down. (Peytie will get mommy & daddy's & WE'LL get a new one!) While shopping for a new dresser we found this beautiful dining room table & chairs too. After talking it over for a little bit, we decided to go for it! I've been wanting a dining room set since we were married (9 yrs ago)!! I absolutely love this set! Peytie was pretty concerned about it when I told her it was a lot taller than our old one. (It's counter-height.) She kept saying, "But I don't want it to be too tall... 'cause I won't be able to reach the chairs... I'm too little!" Well, when they delivered it on Saturday, she climbed up on the first chair they brought in the door & was happy to find that she was in fact, able to do it on her own after all! She said, "Yep! It'll work!" The kid's happy... case closed!! ;o)

We did find a dresser too! Isn't it pretty? It gave us a little more room in our bedroom (well... we're actually pretty crowded with the changing table & bassinet. We will be for the next several months - at least until the baby can start sharing a room with Peyton.) Oh well...such is life!

Weekend pics!

This weekend was fairly uneventful. We did go to a BBQ on Saturday night to celebrate some friends of ours' anniversary. Here are just a few pics of Peytie playin' with Evan Humphrey. They had a pretty good time. It was sooo cute - she kept calling him 'Heaven.' (To which his G-ma Cathy added - "Well, he IS a little piece of heaven!") Isn't that adorable?!

CUTEST. PIC. EV.
(Wouldn't you agree?!)

Sleepin' in...

G-ma Tami & Papa Jerry came over for a while tonight for zucchini bars & to see our new dresser & dining room set. (Those pics are coming in the next post.) Peytie had a good time ruff'- housin' with Gramps & getting tickled by G-ma!

'Til next time...

Baby gift!

Aunt Missy got these little onesies & plaque for our soon-to-be, not yet named... daughter! ;o)
Thanks Miss - We love them!!

This is my favorite one! (Brown & pink...who'd have guessed?!)
Peytie says it's her favorite too! -Because of the lamb I think! ;o)

Here's a close-up of the adorable plaque. I can't wait to hang it up in her room!

Daddy?... or 'Mummy'?...

Peytie LOVES playin' with Daddy. This is just one of the cute little games they were playing the other day. 3 yr olds do the darndest things, don't they?! ;o)
